Ingredients:

  • country cornmeal drop biscuits
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp cold butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • optional: (for top)
  • 1/2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • in a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cormeal , sugar , baking powder , and salt. cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. add the chilies and pimientos.
  • stir in the beaten egg and milk , just until combined.
  • drop by large spoonfuls , about 2 tbsp each, onto an oiled baking sheet. bake the biscuits in a 450 degree oven for 13 to 15 minutes.
  • optional (but good)
  • brush tops of biscuits with egg white. combine poppy seeds and sesame seeds in a small bowl, and sprinkle seed mixture evenly over biscuit tops.

Directions:

  1. Good with lots a' real butter..!! :)
