Ingredients:

  • 500 g shredded cabbage (1 lb)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (optional, depending on the brand of mayo you use)
  • pepper , dash
  • salt , as needed

Directions:

  1. Mix the cabbage, carrots and salt well. Let sit for an hour and squeeze away the resulting salt water.
  2. Stir in the mayo, Dijon mustard, sugar, vinegar, pepper, and salt to taste.
