Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 tbsp baking powder

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl mix together flour and shortening by hand.
  2. Next stir in by itself baking powder.
  3. Then add milk, eggs, vanilla, and cocoa.
  4. Blend by hand.
  5. Fill cupcake liners.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
