Ingredients:

  • 3/4 lb chopped clam
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 (8 oz) bottle clam juice
  • 1 cup milk (approx .)

Directions:

  1. In skillet, over med heat, cook onion, celery, and bacon in butter and oil. Add salt, pepper, thyme, paprika, and bay leaf.
  2. Cook until vegetables are crisp tender.
  3. Stir in flour until mixed. Cook 5 minute (don't burn).
  4. In sauce pan,cook potatos in water, wine, clam juice and liquid for 15 minute Add clams, onion mix, and cream. Cook until thickened.
  5. Add milk to desired consistancy.
