Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 (6 oz) package chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Combine 1 cup sugar and butter with mixer until fluffy. Add eggs and beat till combined, Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
  2. Combine flour, powder, soda and salt. Add to beaten mixture, beating till smooth.
  3. In another mixing bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients.
  4. Evenly spread half of the batter in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with half the chocolate mixture. top with remaining batter, then rest of the chocolate.
  5. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve warm.
