Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup minced chives
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients.
  2. Combine egg, buttermilk and margarine.
  3. Stir liquids into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  4. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 14-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.
