Childhood Cinnamon Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup ( salted ) butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Combine all the dry ingredients (sugar, cinnamon, flour and baking soda) with the butter and blend with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. Take 1/2 of the crumbs for cake topping.
  4. To remaining mixture, add the yogurt and vanilla.
  5. Blend until just combined.
  6. Pour mixture into greased loaf pan and sprinkle crumbs on top.
  7. Bake 50 minutes.
  8. Cool 10 minutes in pan before turning out.
