Chicken With Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 2 dozen button mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup whole milk or 1 cup cream
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric

Directions:

  1. Put all the spices in a plastic bag with the flour, and shake well.
  2. Cut the chicken into 1 inch cubes.
  3. Put the chicken in the bag and shake until coated.
  4. Saute chicken in 1/2 the oil until brown and set aside.
  5. Cut the pepper onion and celery into 1/2 inch pieces.
  6. Cut mushrooms into quarters.
  7. Add the rest of the oil and saute the mushrooms, celery, pepper and onion until onion is transluscent.
  8. Put chicken back in, cover and bake at 350 degrees fharenheit for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven.
  10. Add milk.
  11. Simmer on the stove for 5 minutes.
  12. Serve with rice or noodles.
