Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 9-inch square baking
  2. Pan.
  3. Stir together crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and melted butter. Press onto
  4. Bottom of prepared pan. Bake 5 minutes. Remove from oven; leave oven
  5. Stir together coconut, remaining 3/4 cup sugar, flour and salt. Add
  6. Egg whites, egg and almond extract. Spread mixture over crumb
  7. Mixture; press in cherry halves. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until
  8. Lightly browned around edges. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  9. Cover; cut into bars.
  10. Makes 25 bars.
