Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine butter and egg and beat well. Add vanilla, orange peel, lemon peel, dates and carob powder and combine thoroughly.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together oats, flour, wheat germ, baking powder and three spices. Combine the two mixes, add milk and beat until blended.
  3. Spread batter in a 10x12 inch rimmed baking dish. Sprinkle with carob chips or nuts. Bake 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Cool on rack. Cut into squares.
