Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients until a crumbly mixture. Press 1/2 of it in a 9 x 9 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
  2. Melt caramels in milk over low heat in top of double boiler.
  3. Remove the baked crumb mixture from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips and nutss over it.
  4. Pour melted caramel mixture over the chips and nuts.
  5. Press the other half of the crumb mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Cool slighly before cutting into squares
