Ingredients:

  1. Heat a skillet on medium heat.
  2. Completely butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread in the pan, buttered side down, sprinkle on half of the cheese and top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Turn the heat down a notch and cook until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes.
  5. Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, about 2-4 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the remaining cheese on an unoccupied section of the pan, place the grilled cheese on top and cook until the cheese has melted and caramelized, about 2-4 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on an unoccupied section of the pan, flip the grilled cheese on top and cook until the cheese has melted and caramelized, about 2-4 minutes.
  8. Enjoy!
