Caramel Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 oz) package caramels
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Pour half of batter into greased 9 X 13 pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350*. Meanwhile, melt caramels, butter and milk together in sauce pan on low heat, stirring constantly until caramels are melted. Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over it. Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Cover with remaining cake batter and return cake to oven for 30 - 35 minutes at 350* until done. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Frost with chocolate icing and sprinkle with additional chopped pecans, as desired.
