Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Place 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl
  3. With mixer on low, slowly add butter pieces and butter is the size of peas
  4. Combine buttermilk, 1 egg and beat lightly - add to flour mixture slowly
  5. In small bowl combine cheddar with small amount of flour - add to mixer slowly
  6. Turn off mixer - transfer dough to well floured board and lightly knead (6 times)
  7. Roll dough into rectangle (10x5 inches)
  8. Cut into 8 biscuits
  9. Transfer to pan lined with parchment paper
  10. Coat with egg / milk mixture (1 egg with 1 tbsp milk - mixed)
  11. Bake 20-25 minutes until tops browned and cooked through)
