Ingredients:

  • 2-1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil; cook for 15-18 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently.
  2. Remove from the heat; skim off foam. Ladle hot mixture into hot sterilized half-pint jars, leaving 1/4-in. headspace. Remove air bubbles; wipe rims and adjust lids. Process for 5 minutes in a boiling-water canner. Yield: 3 half-pints.
