Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine first seven ingredients.
  3. Slowly add food coloring.
  4. Mix at high speed.
  5. Filling (pudding), follow instructions as written on the box.
  6. Oil and slightly flour two 8 or 9 baking pans.
  7. Halfway fill each pan with batter, then add filling, and fill pan with batter.
  8. Bake for at least 45-60 minutes.
  9. Insert toothpick in center of cake.
  10. If toothpick comes out clean, then it is done.
  11. Cool, and then frost.
  12. Cover each layer with chopped walnuts, pecans and almonds.
  13. Then cover frosted cake with remainder of chopped nuts.
