Basic Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 1/2 - 3 lb confectioner's sugar
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt (omit if using ed butter)

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and shortening. Beat in sugar, vanilla, salt, and milk gradually, until you achieve the right consistency. Spread over completely cooled cake.
