  1. Cut onions in half, then slice them into 1/8-inch thick half-rounds.
  2. Heat the and oil in large saute pan on medium heat
  3. Add onions, cayenne, salt and pepper and saute for 10 minute
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20
