Barbecued Bananas with Tropical Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour

Directions:

  1. Heat grill. In a saucepan melt butter and honey. Stir in rum, juices, cinnamon and ginger. Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes.
  2. BBQ bananas over coals for 7 minutes; Remove and peel. Pour sauce over bananas and serve immediately. Bananas may be baked unpeeled for 10 - 15 minutes (Sprinkle with dry stuff and then sauce before cooking).
