Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Pick and wash the mixed beans and navy beans.
  2. Cover the beans generously with water (soak overnight in a large pot.).
  3. Rinse beans and cover with water again.
  4. Add bullion, liquid smoke, 1 t. cumin, 1/2 t. cayenne pepper, 1/2 t. black pepper, 1/2 t salt, 1 T. sugar, 1/2 T. chili powder, and 2 small cans tomato sauce to the pot.
  5. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low ; simmer and cook two hours or until tender or use crockpot and follow crock pot time limit for beans.
  6. Pick, wash and drain lentils before use. Add to beans when they are almost done.
  7. Add water as needed.
  8. Ground Beef Mixture:
  9. Add all listed ingredients except the flour to the ground beef and brown.
  10. Mix and stir in the flour.
  11. When beans are almost done, add beef mixture, simmer 1 hour and serve.
  12. Adjust seasonings.
  13. Yield 8 - 10 servings.
