Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F & grease two 9 x5 loaf pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt, then set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream shortening & sugar until light & fluffy, then add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add the flour mixture, a little at a time, to the creamed mixture, alternately with the bananas & pineapple.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, cherries & nuts, then pour into the prepared loaf pans.
  6. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to a wire rack to cool completely.
