Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup. sugar
  • 1/2 cup. butter
  • 3/4 cup. sour cream or buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cup. flour

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar and butter. Blend in mashed bananas. Add eggs and remaining ingredients. Bake in jelly roll pan 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost.
  2. FROSTING:
  3. /2 c. butter
  4. C. brown sugar
  5. /4 c. milk
  6. /4 c. powdered sugar
  7. Boil brown sugar and butter over low heat for 2 minutes. Add milk and bring to full boil, stirring constantly. Cool to just warm and add powdered sugar. Mix until thick and spread over banana bars.
