Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Add macaroni gradually so that water continues to boil.
  2. Cook uncovered stirring occasionally until tender then drain in a colander.
  3. Combine cheeses and set aside.
  4. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan then remove from heat.
  5. Stir in bread crumbs and 1/2 cup of the cheese mixture and set aside.
  6. Melt remaining butter then stir in flour, 3/4 teaspoon salt and cayenne pepper until smooth.
  7. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly then reduce heat to low.
  8. Stir in milk gradually then cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens and begins to boil.
  9. Remove from heat and add remaining cheese mixture and stir until cheeses are melted.
  10. Add macaroni and stir well then pour into casserole and sprinkle crumb mixture around edges.
  11. Cover with foil then bake at 375 for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove from oven then increase temperature to broil.
  13. Remove foil from casserole then place tomato wedges over macaroni mixture.
  14. Place under broiler and broil until crumbs are lightly browned.
