Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:

  1. In mixing bowl, beat eggs on medium speed till lemon-colored, or 2 minutes.
  2. Combine next three ingredients and add to eggs; combine well.
  3. Add butter, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Blend thoroughly.
  5. Fold in nuts.
  6. Pour into greased 8x8 baking dish.
  7. Put this dish into a larger dish filled half way with water.
  8. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes or until crust forms on top.
  9. You may serve it warm or chill overnight.
