Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp (heaping tsp.) cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Baked Apples
  2. Peel and cut up desired amount of baking apples (delicious apples don’t cook well, but most any other variety will work)
  3. Place in a microwavable dish. Top with a few dabs of butter, a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Cover and cook for about 4 min. or until fork tender. When they are tender, add a mixture of 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch and enough water to make a watery paste. Add to the apples which should be hot enough to thicken the juice that formed from the apples cooking. I usually top with cool whip or ice cream.
