Bacon-wrapped Water Chestnuts

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*.
  2. Cut sliced bacon in half.
  3. Wrap one half-slice of bacon around one whole water chestnut.
  4. Secure bacon to chestnut with toothpick.
  5. Arrange wrapped chestnuts on baking sheet (I line the sheet with foil first to minimize clean-up).
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Baste wrapped chestnuts with barbecue sauce (I just take a table spoon and make sure the wrapped chestnut is nicely covered in sauce)
  8. Return them to the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes more.
  9. Arrange on a serving plate and enjoy!
  10. Mmmm mmmm mmm!!
