Armenian Almond Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Blend in flavorings and chopped nuts
  3. Mix together dry ingredients.
  4. Mix into creamed mixture with electric mixer until well blended.
  5. Shape into small balls the size of walnuts
  6. Place on a ungreased baking sheet and flatten a but with a fork.
  7. Place an almond in center of cookie
  8. Bake in a slow oven, 325F about 20 minutes or done
