Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsps. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 cup. water
  • 2 tbsps. lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Put apples in baking dish.
  2. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan.
  4. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils.
  5. Pour over apples.
  6. Cover and bake in 375 oven 25 minutes or until apples are tender.
  7. Serve with whipped cream.
