Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Slice and peel the apples and pile into a pie plate or other glass baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.
  3. Make a batter of the remaining ingredients and pour over the apples.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
  5. Serve warm with vanilla icecream or coolwhip.
