Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place pear halves, cut side down, in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine sherry and water; pour over pears.
  3. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  4. Turn pear halves over.
  5. Combine almonds, sugar, and almond extract; stir well, and spoon equal amounts into cavity of each pear.
  6. Bake uncovered, 5 additional minutes; serve warm.
