A Little Different Peanut Brittle

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup. shelled peanuts
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1-2 tsps. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:

  1. Mix nuts- sugar- syrup and salt in microwavable clear bowl.
  2. Micro 10-15 minutes on high. this should be bubbling and peanuts look browned.
  3. Stir in butter and almond extract.
  4. Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer.
  5. Add soda and stir quickly until mixture is foamy.
  6. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet or waxed paper...
  7. Let it cool completely before bustin it up
