Zucchini Tarte With Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp cold water , you may need to use more
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions:

  1. Combine flour and egg in a mixing bowl with a pinch of salt. Quickly mix in the butter with your hands and then add the water by the tablespoon until you can gather the dough into a ball. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 450°F Grease 10-12 inch round pizza pan. Roll out the dough so that it fits you pizza pan or press the dough into the pan. Bake for 10 minutes and then remove. Let your oven cool to 400°F.
  3. Sprinkle zucchini with salt and pepper and cook in oil. Cook the zucchini long enough that its liquid evaporates and the slices begin to shrivel a little.
  4. Scatter bacon and zucchini on the crust and bake for 30 minutes at 400°F.
