Ingredients:

  • 1000 g ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 medium onion (chopped )
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cup skim milk

Directions:

  1. Meatballs
  2. Mix all the ingredients.
  3. Use an electronic mixer or just your hands, but make sure you mix well.
  4. Then form little balls, each about 1 inch in diameter (2.5 cm).
  5. Fry them for about 10 minutes with a little butter or oil in a moderately hot pan.
  6. The balls should be able to roll in the pan.
  7. Shake the pan gently during cooking to keep them turning.
  8. Take them out, put them in a large pot to keep them warm and prepare the Swedish meatball sauce in the same pan.
  9. Leave the fat in it!
  10. Swedish Meatball Sauce
  11. Stir flour, salt and pepper into the hot fat.
  12. Stir until smooth and bubbly, then gradually add the milk.
  13. Cook and stir until thickened.
  14. Ready? Pour it over the meat.
