Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour , sifted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups finely chopped walnuts

Directions:

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
  2. Sift flour and salt together; add to creamed mixture.
  3. Mix well; stir in walnuts.
  4. Shape dough into walnut-sized balls.
  5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from cookie sheet with spatula.
  7. When still warm but cool enough to handle, roll in powdered sugar.
