Ingredients:

  • 100 g mung dal
  • 100 g channa dal
  • 1 pinch hing
  • 100 g arhar dal
  • 1 tejpatta (bay leaf)
  • 1 piece ginger (1 inch)
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 cardamoms (small)

Directions:

  1. Soak the dal in water for 1 hour.
  2. Put it in a pressure cooker.
  3. Add salt and turmeric powder.
  4. Wait for 2-3 whistles.
  5. Turn off the gas.
  6. Heat ghee in a kadahi.
  7. Add jeera, bay leaf, cardamoms, hing, garam masala, ginger and green chilly.
  8. Add dal.
  9. Put lemon juice and garam masala powder.
  10. Add chopped coriander.
  11. Serve hot with Potato Bharta.
