Traditional Irish Lamb Stew

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle the lamb with salt and pepper
  2. Heat at tablespoon of oil, fry the lamb until it is browned
  3. Take the lamb out and keep seperate
  4. Add the onions to the pan and fry until they are soft and translucent (add more oil if you need to)
  5. Return the lamb back to the pan along with the rest of the ingredients, except the potatoes
  6. Cook for an half hour, then add the potatoes. Top up with water if needed
  7. Cook until the poatoes and pearl barley are cooked and the meat is soft
  8. Serve in bowls with brown bread, sprinkled with chopped fresh parsley
