Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat vinegar, water, salt, and sugar over high heat.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar and salt
  3. In a 1 quart container, layer vegetables and seasonings in this order:
  4. Red onions
  5. Green beans
  6. Cauliflower
  7. Basil
  8. Garlic
  9. Peppercorns
  10. Chile pepper, is using
  11. And red bell pepper
  12. Pour hot brine over vegetables
  13. Let pickles cool to room temperature, about 2 hours
  14. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours to develop flavors
  15. Keep refrigerated 1 month
