Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix together flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
  3. Make a well in the flour mix and add the milk.
  4. Add shortening to the flour/mil mixture until thoroughly mixed.
  5. Turn onto floured surface, and knead gently 6 to 8 times.
  6. Pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
  7. Cut into biscuits.
  8. Place on baking sheet and cook for 10-13 minutes.
