Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Blanch tomatoes; peel, then chop or slice them, then put them into a large pot.
  2. Pour white vinegar over tomatoes & let it sit overnight.
  3. *.
  4. Add celery & apples and boil until thick, stirring occasionally.
  5. Take the coarse salt & mixed pickling spice and place then in a cheesecloth bag.
  6. Add apple-cider vinegar, spice bag & cinnamon sticks to tomatoes.
  7. Now add the sugar & cayenne. Boil again for 10 to 15 minute or until the mixture has thickened.
  8. Remove the spice bag & the cinnamon sticks.
  9. Adjust the seasoning.
  10. Pour mixture into sterilized jars & seal.
