Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. In medium skillet, over medium heat, heat the butter until lightly brown..DO NOT BURN
  3. Saute oats stiring constantly until golden, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and cool
  5. Meanwhile, sift flour with cinnamon, salt and baking soda, set aside.
  6. In a large bowl combine sugar, egg and vanilla.
  7. With a wooden spoon or portable mixer at medium until light and fluffy.
  8. Stir in rolled oats and flour mixture until well combined.
  9. Drop by slightly rounded teaspoonfull, 3 inches apart onto non greased cookie sheet.
  10. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until golden .
  11. Remove to wire rack, cool.
  12. Makes about 4 dozen
