The Ultimate Brownie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans or 2 1/2 cups walnuts, toasted

Directions:

  1. Melt chocolate and butter; set aside.
  2. In a mixer, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla at high speed for 10 minutes.
  3. Blend in chocolate mixture, flour and salt until just mixed.
  4. Stir in the nuts.
  5. Pour into a greased 9 X 13 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes. (Don't overbake.) Cool and frost with a chocolate icing, if desired.
