Ingredients:

  • 1 lb laverbread, prepared
  • 6 pieces back bacon

Directions:

  1. Mix the laverbread and oatmeal together and form the mixture into small round, flatish cakes, about the size of a flatten meatball.
  2. Fry the bacon in a pan and keep warm.
  3. Fry the laverbread in the bacon fat until crisp and well browned on both sides, about 15-20 minutes in total.
  4. Serve with toast and egg or cockles for a traditional Welsh breakfast.
