Sweet Noodle Pudding/Kugel (Nut Topping)

Ingredients:

  • 12 -16 oz egg noodles
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Cook noodles shorter time than stated on the package; drain and stir in next 6 ingredients and mix well.
  2. Put into a baking dish.
  3. Mix topping ingredients and spread over noodles.
  4. Cover and refrigerate all day or all night before baking.
  5. *You may freeze this when ready to refrigerate and then thaw slightly before cooking and bake longer.
  6. When ready to bake, place in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 1 hour.
  7. Topping should be golden brown.
