Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 275 degrees.
  2. Have a 15-1/2 X 10-1/2 inch jelly roll pan ready.
  3. Beat egg whites in a large bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form when beaters are lifted.
  4. Gradually add sugar, beating until whites are stiff and glossy.
  5. Stir in butter; add nuts and toss to coat well.
  6. Spread in ungreased pan.
  7. Bake 1 hour or until meringue is dry, stirring every 15 minutes to separate nuts.
  8. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  9. Store tightly covered at room temperature up to 2 months.
  10. (If they last that long!).
