Old Fashioned Drop Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 tbsp cold coffee
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Dissolve baking soda in 2 tablespoons hot water.
  2. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
  3. Add spices, coffee and soda mixture.
  4. Mix nuts and flour. Add to mixture.
  5. If dough not stiff add little more flour.
  6. Drop mixture on greased cookie sheet by the teaspoon.
  7. Bake in 375°F degree oven for 15 minutes.
