Sweet and Spicy Nori Strips

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/3 tsp cayenne
  • 3 nori

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line baking sheets with foil or parchment.
  3. Combine rice syrup and both sesame oils in a small bowl, whisk to blend.
  4. Stir in cayenne.
  5. Tear each nori strip into 3 strips.
  6. Place strips on prepared baking sheets.
  7. Using pastry brush, thickly coat each strip w/ sesame-syrup mixture (whisk mixture occasionally).
  8. Sprinkle each strip with salt.
  9. Bake 10 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes to crisp.
  11. Brush each strip again with the sesame-syrup mixture and sprinkle with salt.
  12. Bake another 10 minutes; remove and let stand for 10 minutes.
  13. Break each strip in 2 to serve.
