Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Drain spinach well after cooked
  2. While spinach is draining, soften cream cheese and 1-1/2 sticks of the butter over low heat
  3. In bowl, mix spinach, cream cheese, and butter
  4. Stir in chopped green onions
  5. Mix well
  6. Spread into a lightly greased 9 X 13 casserole dish
  7. Melt remaining stick and half of butter
  8. Generously cover with *crushed* croutons
  9. Drizzle melted butter over all
  10. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper, optional
  11. Bake for 20-30 minutes in a 300 degree oven
  12. May add water chesnuts, pimiento, roasted chopped red pappers, Parmesan cheese
  13. THIS RECIPE WILL SERVE 12-16 AND IS SO VERSATILE
