Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp almond flavoring
  • food coloring

Directions:

  1. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Beat the butter until fluffy. Add the sugar and beat until well incorporated. Add the eggs and vanilla and slowly add the flour mixture. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the cookies on a well floured surface to your desired thickness and cut out with cookie cutters.
  4. Bake at 400 for 5-8 minutes. Cool and frost.
  5. For frosting, mix all ingredients, if too thick you may add a little water to thin out. Separate into bowls and add food coloring if you prefer. The frosting will harden so you can stack them later.
