Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cups flour (wheat can be used)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 oz pepperoni (hormel or any brand will do) or 8 oz turkey ( hormel
  • 9 oz ham

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl add warm water, yeast and sugar and stir to dissolve. Let it sit until foamy, about 5 minute.
  2. To the bowl of an food processor fitted with a dough blade/or metal blade add the olive oil, 2 cups flour, and salt (for herb crust-add 1-2 tablespoons of Italian Herb Seasoning and 1tsp of garlic powder).
  3. Mix until the dough comes together,add more flour if dough is too sticky and process again. Remove blade and turn the dough into a greased bowl and cover with a clean towel.
  4. Place in a warm, draft free place for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the dough doubles in size. You can cut dough in half and roll out into a 6-8in circles.
  5. Preheat Oven to 425 degrees.
  6. Layer with ham, pepperoni, drizzle of sauce and as much cheese as you like.
  7. Carefully roll dough starting at the edges, tucking, and pulling gently as you roll. Carefully lift roll and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  8. Brush with egg wash, bake in 425 degree oven for 15-20 min or until golden brown. Let it sit for 5-10 min the slice and serve with leftover sauce.
