Strawberries in White Zinfandel

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Remove zest from 1 orange and cut into thin strips.
  2. Bring 2 cups water to boil in small saucepan.
  3. Add peel and return to boil.
  4. Drain.
  5. Repeat process two more times.
  6. Refrigerate.
  7. Squeeze enough juice from oranges to equal 1/2 cup.
  8. Bring juice, white zinfandel and sugar to a simmer in a small saucepan.
  9. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until the sugar dissolves.
  10. Transfer to sauce to a bowl and stir in berries.
  11. Chill for 1 1/2 hours.
  12. Divide the ice cream between 4 bowls.
  13. Top with strawberries& sauce.
  14. Garnish with the cooked peel.
